Uproot Hootenanny $5
August 13 @ 8:30 pm
A bass, a fiddle, a banjo, and a mandolin walk into a bar…and it’s whiskey fueled mayhem.
Uproot Hootenanny is a high energy blend of Americana, bluegrass, folk and Irish, with a hint of “jam”.
Narrowing this band and it’s fusion of music down to 3 words is nearly impossible, but I believe you get the picture with “Whiskey. Fueled. Mayhem.” Amongst other popular songs, the band performs Way out, Big Truck, It Sucks to be me, and Why I drink.
Uproot Hootenanny is one of the most dynamic groups we’ve had because their musical influences vary across every awesome genre. It would be ridiculously hard not to find at least 1 musician/band of influence you can’t jump on board with. Even if you can somehow not love Clapton, Page, BB King or Hendrix, you can’t deny the awesomeness of Dylan, Jerry Garcia and Zeppelin. There’s even some influence from Celtic groups like The Clancy Brothers. If you can honestly tell me none of those appeal to you, then maybe Phish or the Grateful Dead will do it for you.
